 Under every well performing pavement is a sound base.  Many projects will require a rock base to support your new pavement.  Heartland Asphalt will furnish and install base rock as needed for your project.  We will truck it in, spread it uniformly and compact it to the  proper density that will create a foundation for your pavement. 

 Heartland Asphalt is a leader in recycling asphalt.  Heartland Asphalt uses Cold Recycled Asphalt Base effectively and efficiently in a number of ways to not only give a lasting and durable product, but also to be a leader in the use of renewable and recyclable products.

 Hot Mix Asphalt (H.M.A), also known as “blacktop”, is what we do best.  It can be placed thick or thin depending on the project needs.  Heartland Asphalt is a leader in the asphalt paving industry in Iowa with many awards and customer testimonials to back up its work.

 Heartland Asphalt also provides Bituminous Chip Seal, Crack Filling and Portland Concrete Cement (P.C.C) work for small to medium sized projects.  We can place Bituminous Chip Seal over existing pavements as a maintenance tool or over a prepared base as a dust control.  Heartland will route, clean out and fill cracks in pavement with Hot Pour  Rubberized Crack Filler.  We also construct P.C.C. curb and gutter as well as driveways and sidewalks.

Heartland Asphalt produces its own Cold Mix for potholes and spot repair on streets and parking lots.  Cold Mix is available year round at our plants and can be purchased by the truckload or by the bag.
